All shades of Red …& Gold

Happy Chinese New Year everybody!

If you have no clue what the special celebration is all about, it’s the celebration of the new year from the Chinese calendar, usually celebrated at the beginning of the second new moon after the winter solstice.

Basically, it’s New Year, filled with fun, lots of family dinners and fireworks. Most importantly, what we (unmarried people & children) find it most joyous is receiving red packets from elders & married couples!

It’s always the best time of the time receiving so many different reds & golds even though not being Chinese and honestly I am grabbing every opportunity before the table turns!

Hope everybody too is having a wonderful time & getting lots more!
