I have never been a make-up junkie and rarely would I buy make-up, but recently with the emergence of beauty channels and gurus in youtube, it’s quite unavoidable to not want to experiment with make-up! This is my first ever make-up post and I thought a quick review on these LASplash liquid lipsticks would be fun to share! They are amazing if you love intense pigmented lipsticks with matte finish that will stay on all day! There are actually 3 ranges; lip coutures, lip smittens and lip lustres. The lip couture (gold cap) is more liquidy in formula, while the lip smitten (pink cap) is more creamy in application. The lip lustres (silver cap) are pretty similar to the lip coutures, except the lipstick itself contains some shimmer for that shine effect. But honestly, I feel like they are pretty much similar! They literally are also everything proof and only an oil-based makeup remover will take this beast off ya lips!
Here I will share 5 of the LASplash lipsticks I own and totally loveee!
From left: Latte confession, Rose garden, Enchanted, Vampire & Faline. My favourite is definitely Latte Confession! It is the perfect blend of nude and mauvy pink and is just fit for everyday! By the way, if you’ve tried Lime Crime’s Pink Velvet, Enchanted (bright pink) is pretty much a dupe for it!
Now time for some lip actions! Btw, excuse me but I am quite sloppy in applying liquid lipsticks (still learning..! >.<) but I hope these lip swatches will show you the true value of these amazing lipsticks!
So that is that, I am totally in love with these lippies! & if you are on the look-out for something bold & forever-lasting, I really suggest you check these out! Would love to know which one is your favourite and what your thoughts are on them if you have tried them!
If you are based in Hong Kong, you probably figure that there is in deed no Spring, but just straight Summer! Or maybe… it kind of alternates between the two.
It’s been a couple days and it already feels like Summer with the sun heating up in the afternoon. I guess the main issue is that it is just too humid! Then, again, Hong Kong is full of surprises as it was a little cooler today that it would be best to wear at least a little cardigan. Because of this bipolar weather condition, it can get tricky on which clothing piece to pack away and which to hang up for display.
Personally, I am the kind of girl who loves bundling up, layering and just staying cozy, so it is a little depressing for me since Winter is over. But going through my closet, I found the perfect piece that would still allow me to cling onto the cozier days yet it’s functional and stylish for HK’s Spring and even Summer! Of course, if you haven’t guessed it, Scarfs! Colorful, floral or crazy patterned bright scarfs are just the right piece that will give you a pop for any outfit! … & still keep you cozy for cooler evenings!
Check out some of these outfits inspiration! Totally loving the bright patterned, colorful scarfs!
So ladies, if you are kind of lost and totally brain farted on how to give some life to your typical greys, blacks and whites like me, let me just remind you of that crazy, bright, patterned scarf that you probably already have in your closet!
Oh who am I kidding! It’s definitely his voice & the truthfulness in his songs. I seriously had the best night of my life last Tuesday at Ed Sheeran’s concert. A one man show with just his guitar and himself, such pure talent and so humble he is. Truly an experience that has become so rare in the entertainment industry, I am so glad and lucky I was able see him live!
Thank you Edie for coming to Hong Kong & accompanying me along my dreadful, boring journeys to and from school! We love you! ❤️❤️❤️
How is March going on so far for you? Mine will be for sure hectic in the coming days, balancing work & assignments… & maybe social life, if I continue procrastinating! Basically for the next 2 months, I will be dodging assignment deadlines like bullets & hopefully I will have the willpower to focus & conquer them.
So anyway, one of the way I procrastinate is by going through my photo gallery in my phone and believe me, I could spend hours in there since I never delete my photos even if I have transferred them on my Macbook. So you can probably imagine the thousands of photos saved and my phone’s storage is an everyday struggle. But, today instead of just flicking the photos on my phone, I really wanted to share these photos taken last year at Bondi Beach, Australia. If you are by chance, anywhere near Sydney… GO to Bondi if you haven’t! You will love it!
I had a lovely time just watching the sun set with my friends and enjoying my coffee & my cookies n’ cream donut from Kripsy Kream (sucks we donut have one in HK 😓)! & at that time, it was pretty much vacation for us and we did nut have any worries, watsoever!
